Throughout the location The Story of Lavander, I managed to build an adventure sanctuary outdoors for my two little boys, that lies next to our lavender field and the black locust woods. I called it The Story of Lavander because of the story I had written the previous year. And that’s because one has to find a story for everything, and before the location even existed, I had written a story for my elder son called The Story of Lavander. And this is how a story became a dream and when you put your dreams on paper, they turn into projects and projects into reality.
I decided to build this lavender park because I wanted to have close a place where we could escape from stress and daily routine. Nowadays people are more and more interested in outdoors playgrounds and parks, and feel tempted to escape to nature, without being worried about kids’ safety. Moreover, Kids and teenagers spend a lot of time online, on gadgets, avoiding any type of social interaction and spending time outdoors under the sun. As a parent, I struggled to convince my boys to go out and play. I wanted to tempt my boys to be more adventurous and escape into nature. And I did this by founding The Lavander Story. Kids need adventure and challenges outdoors, they need to spend time in fresh air, run and play, which is great for their body and mind.

The name The Story of Lavander is not accidental or random. There is actually a story of lavender that I have written for David, my first born, just before I’d planted the lavender field, and you are all invited to read and welcome. And in addition to planting our lavender field, just for our kids to have a playground to play on and more adventure in nature, we decided to arrange and enhance the black locust forest that we owned, that lied next to the lavender field. This is how we managed to build a sanctuary where parents could relax in peace while watch their kids happily playing in nature. And that is how the 2 hectares park called The Story of Lavander was born.

We are still at the beginning and it is not easy to keep the pace with the forces of nature, fight the harsh weather, but we all happily working on that every year and we are pleased with the results. We are happy to see that people really love paying us a visit and a great number of kids, parents, grandparents and schools crossed our plant in the previous years.
